Building Bridges to Lives of Meaning

Shalom! I’m thrilled to share this complimentary program being presented by my seminary, the Academy for Jewish Religion, in partnership with the Alan Alda Center on Communicating Science at Stony Brook University.

Alan Alda will be honored for his important work in promoting science communication, and my colleague Rabbi Jill Hackell MD (who presented a program on bioethics at MJC) will be honored for her work in bringing science education to clergy.

The Academy for Jewish Religion’s growing collaboration with the Alan Alda Center on Communicating Science demonstrates AJR’s inspiring vision for educating clergy to be inspired by science and able to communicate meaningfully around science for the health, education, and spiritual wellbeing of their communities.
